The Board of Trustees meets regularly throughout the year. All trustees are volunteers who bring specific skills and experience. The Board employs Chris Halliday, as Director of Operations, to lead the charity, give focused support and direction to volunteers and develop services. Chris attends the board meetings to report on impact and be accountable for operations.

Ashley has dedicated the past 17 years to working within Social Care.  Her extensive experience spans the development, leadership and delivery of frontline services, ensuring that individuals receive the tailored support they need. Her hands-on approach and strategic oversight have been instrumental in shaping innovative programs that prioritise dignity and empowerment. 

Nadia Halliday

Nadia Halliday is a dedicated human resources professional with over 10 years experience across various sectors including residential children’s care, adult care and manufacturing. Nadia is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where every employee/volunteer feels valued and supported.  Nadia is a qualified CIPD member and her skills include, recruitment and retention, employee relations and organisational development. 

George Reid

George originally came to the Halliday Foundation as a service user and through the support he received, got back on his feet and began to volunteer with the charity. George’s lived experience, combined with his previous experience of working in retail allows him to bring a unique perspective to the Board.

Ellen Maguire

Treasurer

Ellen is a retired qualified accountant, having worked in various industries for over 30 years. Ellen has also served on several boards within the third sector bringing a wealth governance and finance experience to her role as treasurer of THF.
